The Best of Texas Awards Show is held in Beaumont each October. Australian native Neil Anthony walked away with "Alternative Rock Vocalist of The Year" for 2005.

Upon returning to Australia after an extremley successful tour of the east coast of the US. The Neil Anthony Band including Neil Anthony performed an exclusive show at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.
The Australia Festival in Nashville
September 2005 saw Neil and his band invited to perform at the Australia Festival in Nashville, where they did a number of shows both with the full band and also a number of unplugged shows.
